To my bidders: For years I have done business on eBay using the name: gpstorageco*. The items I will be selling from this point on are being sold from my estate and from the estates of friends and relatives. This WWII US Navy RH-36 Fighting Knife belonged to a friend of mine who recently passed away. He set aside vintage military items over the years. This blade was on display with some US Navy Seabees field gear. This particular fighting knife was manufactured by PAL Blade Co and was issued with a leather sheath. It is marked PAL & RH-36 to one side of the blade at the ricasso (see photos). The Bowie style parkerized blade shows light/minimal use/wear and retains most all of it's original dark gray finish with some small area of thinning (see photos). It appears to have issue sharpening only and doesn't have much of a sharp edge now (see photos). Pommel and crossguard have most of the original light gray finish remaining with some toning (see photos). The leather washer style grip is a dark brown, has red spacers to top & base, no loose washers, is excellent overall and without issues (see photos). The crossguard is tight & doesn't wobble and pommel top is tight as well (see photos). The sheath is complete/intact and solid overall (see photos). All rivets remain tight & in place and there are no stitching issues anywhere(see photos). The upper belt loop is solid/intact and the small retaining strap is solid with a working snap (see photos). This is an original WWII US Navy PAL made RH-36 fighting knife with an exceptional parkerized Bowie style blade. The leather handle is original and intact. The issue scabbard shows only light use/wear and is excellent overall. Guaranteed original and authentic the knife makes a nice presentation. Great opportunity to complete a WWII USN gear display.
