Description: Every once in a while we find something that should be in a museum! This is one of those items! This is the original "Night Order Book" for the DE-800 during World War 2. It is basically a diary of the ship's activities from March 25, 1944 through May 5, 1945. We included some pictures of the daily summaries. Some reference U-Boats and most are signed by the Commanding Office Bob Lowther. There are also many photos included as pictured. All of the photos are 8'x10" except for 2 larger photos as pictured. One of the large photos is signed and inscribed by Bob Lowther as follows..."Best Wishes Hope we are shipmates again Bob Lowther". We are not sure of the history of this book or collection of photos. We found the lot at an antique market. You are buying the Night Order Book and all photos pictured. We will not break up this lot. All of the items in this lot have wear. The book has a lot of wear. Keep in mind, it was used daily on a boat for 15 months during WW2! The photos also have wear. None are in MINT condition. They all have wear including bends, creases, and other marks. Thanks for looking. Let us know if you have any questions. 031023ut
