Description: Extremely large cadoceras ammonite from the Kellaways Rock, Ashton Keynes, Wiltshire. UK. Approximately 165 million years old. This specimen is really unique for its size, however it lacks the standard highly-calcified form that many of its kind tend to have. The entire fossil is preserved in mudstone and there is also no center. This specimen would make a great addition to someone’s collection who is looking for a Jurassic curiosity. This specimen has been prepared by me. The ammonite is 5” tall, 3” wide, and 4” deep. The ammonite itself weighs about 2.5 lbs. This is the exact specimen you will receive and it will be well packaged and posted within 48 hours of payment. Please message with questions.Thank you for looking.
