Description: Pictured is a rarely seen blue & grey Robinson Clay Products Company (RCPC) cake crock offered for sale. Through the years I've seen but a few examples of this novel-shaped & sized cake crock. The container is shaped as a large wooden storage half-barrel with two metal staves. The embossed image of a monk or friar toasting a drink and having his meal with wine & bread is well defined. The reverse side shows a rotund figure smoking & drinking. The tapered cake crock measures 7 1/4" in height, 12" in rim diameter, 10 7/8" in base diameter, & dates from 1905 - 1925. Amazingly, it's in excellent, perfect condition with no nicks, damage or repairs. A substantial stoneware item by RCPC with great eye-appeal.... Note: We will reimburse any difference in shipping.
