FITS ALL YT-60 MODELS One of the best performance upgrades for the YT-60 is removing the oil pump and installing a block off plug. The oil pump is not accurate most of the time, sending either too much or not enough oil into the engine causing big performance loss. Pre-mixing your oil and gasoline will eliminate the standard oil pump assembly and the power draw it puts on the engine. Even worse, an oil-deprived engine will result in premature wear or in many cases extreme engine failure. New high performance and synthetic 2 stroke oils will not work with the stock oil pump. They must be mixed into the fuel. 2. Temperature change- Cold weather increases oil viscosity making it hard to flow smoothly (or at all) and pump accurately. Warm weather decreases the viscosity. The pump cannot determine the viscosity of the oil, causing it to pump either too much or not enough. This creates a huge performance loss. Too much oil also causes exhaust ports & system to clog. 3. Peace of mind. Pre-mixing ensures your engine is getting the proper amount of oil no matter the condition. No need to worry if pump is working properly and accurately, or clogged / torn oil lines.
