Description: Up for sale is a wonderful painting by the Jewish artist Zelig Tepper. Dated by hand in the lower right corner as May 1950. I have seen many other paintings by this artist but this is the earliest example and it also has a #1 in the lower left corner which leads me to think that this may be the first painting or the first exhibited painting by Zelig Tepper. It has a tag from the Wellons Gallery - 43rd East 50th Street New York, N.Y. Titled “Winter Night” It is housed in a beautiful Mid-Century Modern Heydenryk Frame as well! Index card taped on back titles the piece as “Christmas in Russia” with a description of the artwork as well. Overall condition is good. There are some scratches towards the top of the painting.
