Shows all the expected signs of use and lots of patina or corrosion. All three bubble vials are functioning as intended. Length 26" by 2-3/4" High x 1-1/4" Wide. ZENITH LOGOS - MARSHALL WELLS HARDWARD CO. - ZENITH - U.S.A. stampings are all very legible as are the marking for the inclomiter dial. Heavy duty, quality level. Basic research found: Marshall Wells Hardware Co. came into existence in Duluth, MN in 1886. They produced a line of tools called Zenith. This 26" steel level/inclomiter is one of them. The dial is adjustable to any angle by loosening the set screws and rotating the level bubble contained in the ring. This level has pitting on the surfaces and could use a good cleaning and resoration. The Marshall Wells Hdwe Co. and "Zenith" logo/crest with the work "Zenith" is stamped on two of the level bubble rings. The other has the angle markings on it. From the basic research I conducted, I believe that this level was produced between 1890 and 1910. Please see photos - I try and show the good, the bad, and the ugly with close up images!
