This is from the excess/no longer needed equipment of a company we re-sell their used equipment. Long, great track record. This unit was claimed to be in working condition. I do not have a GC to test it on though so will simple have to offer a 30 day right of return if needed. Research on internet shows this was/is made by Zip Scientific. They make a few specialized GC products for those companies who find it desirable to have their GC oven heat up faster (GC Racer) and cool down faster (GC Chaser) between usage cycles. GC Chaser (this listing's item) searches the GC for a heat cycle. The GC Chaser will not activate unless it senses a heat cycle. It turns on its fan to boost the air flow through the GC oven during cooldown. I guess its goal is to give move billable time per day to your GC. The manual on their website explains how it senses the heat and cool down cycle on the GC and how to wrap its sensor around the "white heat wires" in a 6890 and a 7890. Google their website for better details. Their website also has customer references as to how it helps them.
